He appears, on the surface, to be a country bumpkin (he was, after all, born in a barn), but he has a conniving, power-hungry side. He's Vice President of the TP Islands -- but he wants more power, and doesn't want to wait till the next election to get it! So, with President Paul Bear away at a summit, he's tricked the Senate into declaring him Lord High Emperor!
